About Kono

I have been working as a pharmacy technician instructor since 2021 and have become familiar with how to teach the subject, address common misconceptions, and create pharmacy technician labs/lesson plans. If you’re interested in viewing examples of my work, you can check out my YouTube channel – Kono Health.

Before teaching pharmacy, I worked at CVS and gained some retail pharmacy experience. I also worked at Beaumont (now Corewell) Health, making IV medications and TPNs, so I am very familiar with compounding and aseptic technique guidelines.

I am also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Before traditional classroom teaching, I gained experience in planning, marketing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for health departments in different states. This is helpful for any academic setting, as it proves I am able to see the bigger picture and work towards attaining goals.

I also have international public health experience from my time serving as a medical/public health volunteer in Honduras and a health educator for secondary school students in Mongolia. The diversity in the cities and settings I have worked in prove that I’m able to adapt well to serving areas of different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, education levels, and overall needs. The fact that I have previous technical experience, working for a remote technical support company, is also a bonus in just about any setting.

Notes and videos to help you feel more confident on test day

There’s a lot to remember on the PTCE and ExCPT exams. With Kono Health’s curated notes, you can be confident you’re reviewing only what you need to know on test day – without all of the filler.

Skim each unit at your leisure, though it is suggested that they be reviewed in order. Some notes will not be provided on here but can be purchased through Etsy. YouTube review videos are placed between the notes where you’d need them.
